Well Woman Clinic
|
Modern
women tend to accord priority to their career and family and
as a result, neglect their own health conditions. Some
harzard diseases which are common to women, such as cervical
cancer, breast cancer, show no obvious symptoms at the
initial stage. According to the cancer information released
by the Hospital Authority in 2001, breast cancer ranked
second and cervical cancer was the 8th among the top 10 most
common cancers for the women in Hong Kong.
For some common diseases such as high blood pressure,
diabetics, cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis, they are
giving threat to women and there is a tendency that the age
of such diseases is getting younger.
Fortunately, regular health checkups and gynecological
examination could enable early detection of the disease and
enhance the rate of recovery through proper treatment.

& Statistics Department, the average life span of the
male population in Hong Kong was 78.2 years. Traditional,
